PDA's To Track Olympic VIP's In Beijing
Modified PDA's (Personal Data Assistants) will be handed out to guests of sponsors, dignitaries and other important guests, that might have trouble finding there way around the city. The devices will be operating on a program called Event Track. Event Track can do many tasks that will make the visit just a little bit simpler. It can send a message to a designated cab company, find information on local restaurants and entertainment. It also can provide directions, which will make navigating the streets of Beijing a little easier. Officials say that the devices will help with there two main issues traffic and security.
